Completed projects

  • Expedition: „Together to the Pole”

A ground-breaking journey of three experienced polar adventurers with the then-15-year-old boy with a disability, Jan Mela, to the North and the South Pole. Mela made polar adventuring history becoming the youngest person to reach both Poles in one year and the first person with a disability to do so.

  • The Good Adventurer Club

A support program for people with a disability to raise money for rehabilitation, purchase of equipment and other initiatives to support the beneficiaries of the Marek Kamiński Foundation.

  • Hope for the Hearts

A series of workshops and motivational networking camps for children with cardiovascular and cardiological conditions, and their parents.

These workshops offer emotional support through motivation, relaxation, stress management and effective planning of each participant’s free time.

  • 21st Century Vistula River

An education and social project that took place over a few years, focusing on developing the potential of small communities. The idea was to take advantage of the tourism industry and other industry sectors revolving around the Vistula river while respecting the local environment and communities.

The first stages of the project were the summer and winter Vistula Expeditions, which were captured in a documentary film about the Vistula river and the importance of the natural environment.

Magdalena Rawska

Magdalena has already had two heart operations – one in Poland and one in Germany – due to her congenital heart conditions: Fllot syndrome, ASD and the very dangerous spongiform cardiomyopathy. She will eventually need a pacemaker and a novel medical procedure to strengthen her heart. In Poland, a modern pacemaker that costs approximately 90,000 PLN is not covered by the public health system and the cardiomyopathy treatment isn’t even offered, which means Magdalena will most likely seek help in Germany.

Thanks to the generous support of everyone who has contributed to her cause, Magdalena is currently studying Medicine. She needs your donations to ensure she can live a happy and fulfilling life.

You can send the equivalent of 1% of your annual taxes to Magdalena by filling out the appropriate section in your Polish tax return form.
